Chesapeake Energy, in association with Colonial Country Club, The Friends of Golf (FOG) and the GCAA, will host the 22nd Ben Hogan Award Dinner at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday, May 24, 2010. The most prestigious award in men's college golf, the Ben Hogan Award is presented annually to the top men's NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer considering all collegiate and amateur competitions during the past 12-month period. Limited table sponsorships and individual seats are available to collegiate golf's most prestigious award (A portion of your support is tax deductible*) (CLICK HERE).
Past recipients are represented on the PGA TOUR, Nationwide and European Tours, as well as the Ryder and Presidents Cup Teams. Since 2001, when the award criteria shifted towards competitive playing accomplishments, recipient and finalist names represent some of the PGA TOUR's brightest young stars. This list includes Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, Nick Watney, Hunter Mahan, D.J. Trahan, Ryan Moore, and Rickie Fowler to name a few.
In 2009, the Selection Committee was expanded to further elevate the Ben Hogan Award to a global level. The Committee represents leaders in professional, amateur and collegiate golf. Most notable members include Tim Finchem (PGA TOUR Commissioner), Peter Dawson (The R&A Chief Executive) and Jim Vernon (USGA President). SEE FULL SELECTION COMMITTEE
